Before you order

Allergens and dietary questions

Please talk to us before you order

Our team can help you choose dishes, but we need to know what you need to avoid. Tell us about any allergy, intolerance or medical dietary requirement before you order. For pickup orders, you can call or email before you check out. For a booking, mention it in the booking notes or call us. The team will tell you what they can confirm, and what they cannot.

Please do not rely on a photograph, a dish name or a menu description alone. Menu descriptions are written to help you choose, but they are not a full ingredient list, and recipes can change.

What we can and cannot promise

We will be honest about what we know. We can answer questions about the dishes on the menu where the kitchen has confirmed the information. Where we are not sure, we will say so, and we will suggest you check with a medical professional if your allergy is serious.

We cannot promise that any dish is free from a particular allergen, ingredient or food type. We cannot promise that the kitchen is free from allergens. We do not hold a dietary certification unless it is shown on this website.

Reading the menu

Dietary labels are shown on the live menu only where the kitchen has confirmed them. If you do not see a label, that does not mean an item is free from anything. It means we have not confirmed a label for it. Please read the item description and ask the team.

If you ask whether a dish can be prepared differently, the team will tell you what is possible for that dish. Even when a change is possible, we cannot promise that it will remove an allergen. Please check with the team before you order a change.

Allergen questions

We cannot promise an allergen-free environment. If you have a severe allergy, please speak with the team before ordering so we can tell you what we can confirm.

Ordering for pickup with an allergy

If you are ordering for pickup and you have an allergy, call or email before you place your order if you can. Tell us the allergen, the dish and any change you need. When you collect your order, mention the allergy again at the counter. Please check your order before you leave.

If you have a question during checkout that you cannot answer from the menu, do not guess. Contact us first.

What to have ready when you contact us

It helps to tell us the name of the dish, the allergen or ingredient you need to avoid, whether the allergy is severe, and whether you are ordering for pickup or booking a table. If you are asking about a dish you have already collected or eaten, let us know as soon as possible, so we can answer while the information is still fresh.

Severe reactions

If someone has a severe reaction, such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or collapse, call 000 immediately. Follow any emergency plan the person has, including their adrenaline auto-injector if they have one. Do not wait to see whether symptoms settle.

Allergy, intolerance and preference

An allergy, an intolerance and a dietary preference are different things, and each one changes how we plan with you. An allergy can cause a reaction even in a small amount. An intolerance usually causes discomfort rather than an immune reaction. A preference, such as avoiding a particular food for personal reasons, is something we are happy to talk through. Tell us which one applies, because it changes what we can advise.

Questions to ask when you order

  • Which dish are you asking about, and what is the exact ingredient or allergen you need to avoid?
  • Is the item served with a sauce, garnish or side that might contain it?
  • Can the dish be prepared differently, and what would that change?
  • Do you need to know about shared preparation for a severe allergy?
  • Would it help to speak to the team when you collect, or before you order?

If you are dining with a group

If one person in your group has an allergy, let the whole group know, and tell the team when you book or when you arrive. Please do not assume that a dish a friend has chosen is safe for someone else. Ask the team before anyone shares a dish or takes a bite from a plate that is not theirs.
